Studies have shown that children with this one-on-one relationship do better in school, and are more likely to avoid drugs and violence, and establish new goals for their lives, allowing them to have better futures as shown in the statistics below:
• 75% are more likely to graduate from a 4 year college
• 48% are more likely to engage in community service
• 52% are less likely to skip school
• 46% are less likely to engage in illegal drug use

Currently it takes approximately $1,500 to match a “Big” with a “Little”. In the Metro Nashville area alone, there are nearly 23,000 single mothers that are living under the poverty level. Big Brothers Big Sisters was able to service 1,626 children last year. As you can see that is only a fraction of the potential children that could be serviced just within Metro Nashville alone and the organization is here to service the Middle Tennessee area.

Generous donors like you are the key to the success and make it possible for Big Brother and Big Sisters to provide local children and families with life changing relationships and services. We hope that we can count on your support to help us provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Through my involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters, I know I'm making an impact and I hope you'll join me in my efforts to give a child the resources he or she needs to be successful. Our specific “Bowl for Kid’s Sake” event will be held on Thursday, May 30th at the Donelson Strike & Spare in Nashville. I am asking that you consider how you can contribute to the success of this worthwhile cause. There is no set amount that is required and I do not ask that you give based on the number of pins bowled because then you wouldn’t be giving much to the cause, as I am not the best of bowlers! Your donation of whatever amount feels right, can start a child on the path to academic achievement and will be tax deductible. 100% of the contributions received go to fund the program for Big Brothers Big Sisters and the kids and families they support! No donation is too little or too big!

Thank you in advance for any support you can lend to our efforts!,
